Welcome to Brew City Dads.

Welcome, and thank you for visiting BrewCityDads.com. I know your time is valuable, so my hope is that by the time you leave this site, I will have provided a few minutes of entertainment, taught you something that helps you become a better parent, or gave you some ideas on how to spend free time with your kids.

I don’t claim to be a parenting expert or a child psychologist. I’m just a dad living in the Milwaukee area with 9 years of experience who has learned a lot about parenting through trial and error and best practices past down from my parents and friends. As our children age, we’re faced with new challenges almost on a daily basis, so the need to learn and adapt never ends. My hope is that Brew City Dads can be a place where dads and other parents can come together and learn from each other through shared experiences.

Being a parent doesn’t only mean we have to be able to manage challenging situations with our kids. Often times as dads we’re expected to be the family entertainment director, handyman and building contractor, auto mechanic, and accountant as well. In addition to content focused around parenting, Brew City Dads will be a place you can come to plan your weekend with your family, learn about home and auto maintenance and how to do small home projects, how to manage your money, and more. Let’s face it, there is only so much learning us dads can take in one sitting, so Brew City Dads will also feature content related to food, beer, sports and all the things we love. New content will be added frequently so come back often!

Where this site expands from here will really be determined by the audience. In the future, I’d love to add a Q&A with local professional athletes who are doing great things on the field or court, but accomplishing even greater things at home being a dad. I hope to link with those in healthcare fields that can provide us professional guidance on the psychology behind how we parent and its impact on our kids. I plan to connect with community officials who are experts on the resources available to us dads and parents who may be dealing with challenges at home. I intend to invite guest columnists - other great dads out there with stories and lessons to share.

Make sure you follow us on Facebook to stay up to date on added content and family activities happening in our area. Enjoy your time here at BrewCityDads.com!
