Family Activities at this year’s Harley-Davidson Homecoming

This year’s Harley-Davidson Homecoming takes place in Milwaukee from July 25th through July 28th. The annual event features live entertainment and concerts, rallies, community rides, and celebrations at locations throughout the community. Davidson Park, the new 4.8-acre public park that opened in June at Harley-Davidson’s corporate campus, will host a variety of programming and activities for children and families.

On Thursday, July 25th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Davidson Park will feature a bike exposition, make-your-own crafts with Arts at Large, tech demos, games, and activities for bicycle enthusiasts like bike repair with the Boys & Girls Clubs, opportunities to customize your bicycle with AWE, and a community bike ride. Food and beverages will be available from local vendors. The park will also host the homecoming’s opening ceremonies at 4:30 p.m., followed by a bonfire and s’mores.

Friday, July 26th, families will enjoy a full day of STEM activities such as a robotics lab, coloring stations, and more from the Harley-Davidson STEM team. Families and children will enjoy hands-on activities and crafts with the Betty Brinn Wonder Wagon, Arts at Large, and the Milwaukee County Zoo. Local food and snack vendors will be at the park serving delicious treats.

On Saturday, July 27th, Davidson Park will host nature classes with the Urban Ecology Center, a virtual reality painting activity, live art making and crafts, face painting, a maker’s market, and more. Local food vendors will also be present.
